Orchids for dummies is a black and white book that feature all the information a beginner will need to start keeping orchids. The information is presented in a pedagogical way with large text and a lot of tips and a lot of small info boxes that stress important information so that you do not miss it. It is in other word exactly what you expect when you buy a “for dummies” book. It contains both general information about caring for orchids and more specific info about specific species.
Orchids For Dummies Review
Orchids for dummies is by no means a pretty book, it only contains about a handful of color pictures. What it is however is a an easy to read book that contains a lot of information for those who are about to get started with orchids. The large font and low amount of text on each page can make it feel more like a children’s book than a informative book for adults but if you want a quick read than it is perfect. Make sure you read the tips and info boxes as they contain key information. If you want an easy to understand book with large text this is the perfect book for you. If you want a book that gives you the best possible beginner book for your money than I would recommend that you get one of the beginner books written by Wilma Rittershausen instead as they give you more bang for your bucks.
Orchids for dummies is a good book for anyone who wants to learn the basic about orchids but that do not require a lot of pictures. It is not suitable for more advanced orchid keepers as this book as the name suggest is designed for absolute beginners.
